The True Athlete Games is a fitness competition that features several qualifying events held throughout the year and culminates in a championship event held at the end of the year. TAG competitions consist of a series of standardized fitness tests, such as deadlift, bench press, broad jump and pull ups.

This year, True Athlete Games, Austin Pets Alive! and Barks and Barbells are teaming up to host a fundraiser called Pull Ups for Pups. Pull Ups for Pups will enable True Athlete competitors to collect pledges leading up to TAG. Those who donate to Pull Ups for Pups will base their pledges on how many pull ups the TAG competitor does. For example, let’s say a person pledges to give $1 per pull up. In that case, if the TAG competitor does 20 pull ups during the competition, then the person would donate $20. The benefits from Pull Ups for Pups will go to Austin Pets Alive!

How Will the Pull Ups for Pups Donations Benefit Austin Pets Alive!?

Attorneys Online™, Inc. as well as several of Monty’s co-workers have pledged donations to Pull Ups for Pups. AOI is a dog-friendly company, allowing employees to bring their four-legged friends to work with them every day. Therefore, Austin Pets Alive! is an organization that is very close to our hearts. The proceeds from Pull Ups for Pups will help Austin Pets Alive! in the following ways:

  • $25 in donations will be enough to buy a week’s worth of milk for a litter of kittens
  • $50 in donations will be enough to pay for vaccinations for a litter of puppies
  • $100 in donations will be enough to pay for basic medical care for one cat or dog (includes vaccines and spaying/neutering)
  • $300 in donations will be enough to save the life of one cat or dog (includes daily care, food, basic medical and shelter)
  • $500 in donations will be enough to pay for basic medical care for a litter of kittens or puppies
  • $1,000 in donations will be enough to pay for a kennel that will shelter 13 dogs a year
