We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to you for the recent purchase of a wheelchair for Estefany Ramos.  Let me give you a little background on Estafany.  She is 4 years old and suffers from a birth injury.  As a result of her injury, Estefany is severely brain damaged, has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and other developmental delays.  Estefany’s father is in the process of obtaining legal papers for his wife and two small children, but until the process is complete, they qualify for very little in the line of service.  Estefany’s mother had to carry her everywhere, as the child can not walk.  To say the least, this was becoming quite a task for mother when it came to simple things, like going to the grocery store, or the clinic.  Many of us came together and put “the word” out concerning this family need, and lo and behold, through divine intervention, you responded.  For your response, we will be eternally grateful for your kindness, as well as the Ramos family.  It always amazes me how things can happen when we all work together for the good of the order.  May you all be blessed in your endeavors.  Thank you.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.  On October 30, 2003, an under-construction parking garage at the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey collapsed killing five people and seriously injuring another 30.  It was later determined that the building was built without the necessary steel required to connect the floors to the walls. 

After nearly four years of litigation and preparation, including 250 depositions, and inspection of nearly 1.5 million documents, a settlement totaling $101 million was reached between the victims and the defendants, which is believed to be the largest construction accident settlement in U.S. history.

Although no amount of money can ever completely erase the pain and hardship experienced by our clients and their families, it is my hope that this settlement will go a long way in helping them to heal, said Eisenberg.  He added that as part of the settlement, the defendants will pay the clients= future medical expenses, as well as their entire workers compensation liens.
